Producers of F1 Hybrid replacement females (Hybridizers)

They are a result of the cross of 2 purebred breeds of sheep to maximize hybrid vigor, e.g. a purebred maternal ram (e.g. Dorset) on a prolific ewe  (e.g. Rideau Arcott) to maximize flock performance. The hybridizers produce high quality commercial females for commercial producers.

A minimum of 250 hybrid lambs having 50 &100d weights records are required to be part of this category. No Ontario farmer classified in this category this year.
