This project aims to improve lamb production efficiency and producer profit by developing genetic evaluations for novel carcass traits, including: weight, fat depth and conformation score.
This project is looking at an alternative approach to controlling infections caused by Haemonchus contortus, by selecting sheep that develop an enhanced immune response to this parasite.
